The Betsy - South Beach has partnered with author Boris Fishman to host an event for the Meet Up Group, "New York and other Rat Race Exiles of South Beach."
Exiles, let's come together at the classiest hotel on South Beach for an evening of storytelling in various forms. I will read from and talk about the book I have coming out next spring (a family memoir told through recipes); there will be Moth-style storytelling; a talk from an Art Deco specialist about Miami history; and a political discussion led by an ex-Republican trying to make sense of his former party's direction. The presentations will run 10-15 minutes, and we'll socialize during the breaks. You'll have the opportunity to order drinks and food from the lobby bar or the Alley, the Betsy's casual (but excellent) restaurant. Please RSVP!
