The Betsy Writer's Room welcomes Writer in Residence, Kristina Marie Wade, to Miami Beach.
As the Editor of Noctuary Press, Kristina Marie Darling will present her poetry along with local Miami poet (and friend), Julie Marie Wade, whose work is published by Noctuary Press.
ABOUT THE POETS
Kristina Marie Darling is the author of over twenty collections of poetry. Her books have been described by literary critics as “haunting,” “mesmerizing,” and “complex.” Kristina’s books have also been reviewed widely in literary magazines, including The Boston Review, Ploughshares, The Iowa Review, The Colorado Review, The Mid-American Review, Pleiades, and The Southern Humanities Review. She is Editor-in-Chief of Tupelo Quarterly, Founding Editor-in-Chief of Noctuary Press, and Grants Specialist at Black Ocean.
Julie Marie Wade is an award-winning poet and author. She completed a Master of Arts in English at Western Washington University in 2003, a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry at the University of Pittsburgh in 2006, and a PhD in Interdisciplinary Humanities at the University of Louisville in 2012. Wade teaches in the creative writing program at Florida International University and reviews regularly for The Rumpus and Lambda Literary Review. She is married to Angie Griffin and lives in the Sunshine State.
