Born and raised in Miami Florida, 20 year old Melinda Rose Rodriguez knew from a very young age that Music was going to become her life. Melinda started off like any young aspiring musician started off: with general pop music. Going into middle school, she discovered the classical repertoire, and from there trained classically until the age of 17. At 17 years old, she realized that after learning to play the piano and guitar, that popular and classical music did not resonate with her musically. By chance, Melinda fell in love with the music of the 40s, and 50s up until modern jazz. She lent her ear to these styles, and amazing artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, John Coltrane, Betty Carter etc. The influence of these artists has turned her into the artist she is today.
Great classic cocktails just $15; no cover, no drink minimum - just a warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone can be themselves. Settle in for an evening of great live music (mostly jazz) in a relaxed setting, with sofas and oversized chairs in our Lobby Salon. Performance begins at 8pm.
