ABOUT THE ARTISTS
MARC IRWIN is a pianist, composer, arranger, and recording artist, Dr. Marc Irwin uses his diverse talents as a musician within the fields of contemporary, jazz, classical, theater, and world musics. Currently residing in the Baltimore/Washington, DC area. Marc Irwin is a native New Yorker who has played for and with a variety of top performers. Presently, Marc Irwin is a pianist and musical director with The Capitol Steps, performing political satire throughout the 50 United States and Canada.
CAROLE ANN TAYLOR is returning to a vocal career after a 25 year hiatus raising her children and running her businesses. In her prior vocal career she performed throughout the U.S. and Caribbean including, New York City, Albany, New York, Cleveland, Washington, D.C., the Catskills, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands and Miami. She was the recipient of a five year contract from Duke Ellington in 1970 and studied under Luther Henderson, Duke Ellington’s vocal coach as well as Brooks Alexander. She has performed with Lionel Hampton, Cedar Walton, Buck Clayton, Buddy Tate, Danny Mixon, Bobby Watson, Curtis Lundy, Donald Smith, Jet Nero, Howard Moss, Jim Gasior and South Florida Jazz Hall of Fame recipients Pete Minger, Eric Knight, Billy Rolle, Jimmy Crawford, Don Mosely and Ray Ray. Her Miami appearances include the former Playboy Club, Tobacco Road, the Mutiny, Regine’s, the Gingerman, Jazid, Caribbean Marketplace, Casablanca on the Bay and the Betsy Hotel.
